FAQ

  • How do I sign up for the good dogs club membership ?

To become a member, your dog must pass our 60 minute Meet & Greet assessment where we get to know your pup and introduce them to our pack! We start with a one-on-one introduction to another dog and gradually include more dogs to accurately assess your dog's social behavior and ensure a smooth integration into the appropriate group.

  • Does happy tails have any size, breed or age restrictions?

No, we welcome all dogs regardless of size or breed. We only require that your dog's rabies, distemper (D.H.P.P.) and Bordetella vaccinations are up-to-date to attend our facility and pass our Meet & Greet assessment.

  • At what age should I bring my dog to try daycare?

As soon as your puppy has taken all the required vaccinations, you can bring them to our daycare. We have puppies as young as 4 months old. Puppies have lots of energy and especially benefit from socializing in a pack setting.

  • Does my dog need to be spayed or neutered to come to Happy Dogs?

Dogs 9 months and older must be spayed or neutered.

  • Do you separate the dogs by size?

We group our dogs based on temperament rather than separating them based on size. This way, dogs who prefer to rest and relax get to have a calm space while active dogs can play together freely. The fact is, some small dogs prefer playing with larger dogs and vice-versa. Dogs are very social animals and thrive from being together regardless of size. All shapes, sizes and breeds are welcome to be members of our pack as long as they pass our temperament test and get along with the pack and our pack leaders.

  • How do I get started with services at Happy Tails?

Register here and we’ll email you with next steps, which include reading and agreeing to our contract,  providing vaccination records, and scheduling a behavioral assessment.

  • What happens in case of emergency?

Our standard policy is to make every effort to contact you. We will seek medical attention, when necessary, first from your regular veterinarian, then from a trusted local veterinarian or twenty-four hour Vet Hospital. We will continually attempt to contact you and your emergency contacts with updates. Please make sure that your contact information is current and correct.
